The Climb Out of Darkness Salt Lake City is Saturday, June 25th

The Climb Out of Darkness will have education and provider booths, raffle prizes, swag bags, resource booths, family activities, and the community uniting to raise awareness for PMADs. Please help us spread the word. We can’t wait to see you!

The funds from this event will go to the local Postpartum Support International (PSI) Utah Chapter to help train providers in local communities to ensure everyone has access to support.

We are so lucky to have Host Lindsay Aerts from the KSL Mom Show promote the Climb Out of the Darkness and be our master of ceremonies at the event! Listen to her interview Heather Dopp, PSI-UT Policy Chair and Survivor Mom, and Maja Lusk, RN and Climb Leader.

Climb Out of the Darkness® is the world’s largest event raising awareness of maternal mental illnesses like postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety and OCD, postpartum post-traumatic stress, postpartum psychosis, perinatal bipolar mood disorders, and pregnancy depression and anxiety.

Climb Out of the Darkness® is held on or near the longest day of the year annually to help shine the most light on perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. The event features mothers, fathers, and others across the globe joining together to climb mountains and hike trails to represent their symbolic rise out of the darkness of perinatal mental health crises and into the light of hope and recovery.

Help us shine the light of hope with our words and advocacy so that our fellow mothers and fathers receive better information and better treatment, and new families will get off to the healthy and strong start they deserve. If you have questions or would like to lead or join a Climb, or become a Climb sponsor, email us at [email protected].
