Who we are

As a state chapter of Postpartum Support International, we bring parents with lived experience together with medical, mental health and allied professionals in our communities. Our mission is to support individuals and families within their childbearing and child raising years through promoting health & overall wellbeing as well as awareness, prevention, and treatment of challenging mental health experiences.

Our vision is that every person and parent statewide will have access to information & resources, social support, and informed professional care related to the childbearing and child-raising years. PSI Utah promotes this vision through advocacy, community collaboration, education, training and social support.

Our Board

Anj Lineback, LCSW

Board Co-chair

Anj Lineback, LCSW grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and received her bachelors in Health Education and Promotion at the University of Utah. Anj attended Portland State University for her Masters in Social Work. Anj has worked with veterans, the homeless population, families, on the behavioral health unit. She has a private practice, Ripple Effect Counseling which has an emphasis on women’s health and is home to The Mommune. Anj believes that PSI-Utah can help build community partnerships to address the gaps and inequities in health care and behavioral health services, increase awareness, normalize support, and empower the population. When Anj is not working you can find her traveling, eating or spending time with furbaby, family and friends.

Anna Gabbott

Board Co-chair

Anna Gabbott has always had a desire to serve in the community. A graduate from BYU in Genetics & Biotechnology, Anna didn’t discover her passion for supporting maternal mental health until after she hung up her lab coat to become a full-time mom. Anna survived postpartum depression after her first daughter was born, thanks in part to the care and support she received. Anna progressed from receiving maternal mental health support to become one of its biggest advocates. She is excited to serve with Postpartum Support International to improve maternal mental health care and resources in her community.

She attended graduate school at the University of Utah and is currently working with the Huntsman Mental Health Institute to develop programming specific to perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.

AC Rather, J.D. Candidate, MSW

AC Rather is a third-year law student at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law and holds a Master of Social Work from UC Berkeley. Before law school, she worked as a social worker in San Francisco’s child welfare system, implementing trauma-informed interventions to help families navigate complex legal and social service systems. She is passionate about advancing evidence-based, compassionate policy solutions that support parents and caregivers throughout the perinatal period and beyond.
